Frequently Asked

Do I have to be a yogi or can anyone do these movement practices?

The movement practices are for all bodies, beginners included. The practices are clearly labled, with some practices that are more sweaty, which means you might have to get a little fitter before attempting them!

*NOTE – Not all movement and shapes might be suitable for everyone, which is why we experiment and learn to listen to our own bodies. If you have a condition, please consult your doctor or your physiotherapist before beginning this or any exercise program. The guidelines and advice contained on this site and ALL the course and class material are in no way intended to be a substitute for medical counselling.

What kind of practices will i find in the library of movement?

There is a wide variety of practices:
breathing techniques, meditations, roll-out methods, mobility movements, yin yoga (static stretches held for 1-5 min, targeting connective tissue), and flow yoga (moving from one yoga posture to the next, focusing on the breath).
There are NEW practices added every month to keep things interesting, and you will probably find there are some favorite practices that you can keep returning to.

What do i need to be able to do the practices?

It’s always nice to practice on a yoga mat that give a little bit of padding and traction, but it’s by no means a neccesity. If you like practicing with props, go for it. My only request is to ALWAYS listen to your body and use whatever you feel is going to help you move with more confidence and ease.

how many times a week do you recommend i practice?

If you are just starting out with your yoga-based movement practice, I suggest that you do the 30-day Lucky Packet Practice, which you will find under your PRACTICES once you become a Patron. Try practice 2-3 times a week.
Again, this is very much YOUR practice, so listen to your body: you want to feel either energized or relaxed after doing your practice, not tired beyond words  – then you did too much!

where can i get a taster of the practices?

You can find some free practices on My Wolf Heart’s YouTube channel.

What to Expect

My hope is that you will find that moving your body does not have to be an unpleasent experience, to be effective. That you can create a practice that you enjoy and want to return to often!

You do not have to be an elite athlete to be healthy and life a happy life, BUT YOU DO NEED TO MOVE!
This movement practice is going to be different for all of us; finding a practice that makes you feel happy, strong and more at ease is the KEY. So if you are interested in movement, yoga, mobility, self-massage, breathing techniques, core practices, meditation…the Patronage option is for you.

Keeping it Real!

My videos are shot & edited by me on my mobile phone, using natural light & no radio mics, in my art/yoga studio that’s also the garage and general open space. My dogs, cats and husband often feature.
WHY DO I DO IT LIKE THIS?
Because this is also your space, where you can feel at home. Where you can move in any which way that works for you. A safe space with real life happening (this is the practice; it is not seperate from the rest of your life)

I have been a photographer almost my whole life, and I was a fulltime videographer and editor for a number of years, so I get and appreciate the art behind making movies.
But in this movement practice environment I would LOVE for people to get to know their OWN BODIES and what it FEELS like to move that body, without the fancy camera and lights, because that is how you move. From the inside, free from preconceived ideas and pictures of what you think you should look like!

Want to move to some music? I have a bunch of public spotify playlists for you to browse through.
